Taylor Capital Advisors LLC ("TCA") is a firm that brings the extensive experience of Hugh M. Taylor and his colleagues to middle market companies that seek exceptional exit planning and exit execution, as well as in depth access to the capital markets, in a cost effective manner.

We specialize in helping business owners to realize the value of your business through a comprehensive process of identifying the key value elements of your business and providing a methodology for focusing on and developing those value elements. That process includes establishing the means to measure the progress of development, and the methods to ensure that all participants in the process meet regularly to communicate the progress of their respective responsibilities.

While developing the key value drivers of the business, we determine the objectives of the business owners and advise them on the full range of options that would be available to them to satisfy their objectives. Given that owners of a business may have dissimilar objectives, we strive to provide a set of solutions that satisfy those dissimilar objectives without impairing the operations or value of the business.

We believe that "Exiting is a process, not an event". That process requires careful planning and execution of critical business functions over a period of time. It also requires the development of a sound and complete management team that may be required to run a company after the departure of key owners. TCA has had over thirty years of experience evaluating the management teams of middle market companies in a wide variety of industries.

The development of key value drivers may require outside capital. Most companies whose value is driven by high growth find it difficult to fund that growth with internally generated earnings. TCA has financed growth companies through external capital for many years. TCA has long term relationships with providers of senior debt, junior debt and equity, and has access to those institutional providers of capital through personal relationships with senior bankers and Managing Directors of private equity funds.

Value is ultimately achieved through a sale to a strategic or financial buyer. TCA has extensive experience in understanding and evaluation the value of a seller to a strategic buyer, and has been able to extract that strategic value for its clients. TCA also understands when a financial buyer may better achieve the objectives of one or more sellers, particularly where the seller wants to monetize some of the value of his/her company to reduce personal risk, but still wants to take advantage of the future growth that the seller believes is available in the company. TCA has worked with private equity groups across the country to complete either majority or minority recapitalizations of client companies for seller liquidity purposes.
